Hybrid Vehicle
Clan Cancer Support provides a Moray transport service, ensuring that cancer patients can attend appointments at Aberdeen, Elgin and Inverness hospitals. It is an invaluable service that sees trained volunteers collect clients from their home, drop them directly at the hospital entrance and then pick them up again at the end of their appointment.
A new hybrid vehicle was required to help run this service and the Foundation was delighted to make a £8,000 contribution towards this cause. Clan also welcomed a new nine-seater minibus to be based at Clan Haven – the charity’s bed and breakfast accommodation in Aberdeen.
“Our transport service works around our client’s schedule to take the stress out of getting to and from hospital and is relied on by hundreds of people across the north of Scotland who need to travel for treatments and appointments during their cancer journey. We are extremely grateful to our funders for helping us secure these fantastic vehicles which will provide comfortable and energy efficient transport for our Haven guests and our Moray clients for years to come.”
