The Gordon & Ena Baxter Foundation has agreed awards totalling more than £50,000.
Applications to the trust’s second funding round of the year were decided at the end of May, bringing the total committed so far in 2024 to over £135,000.
Strong community support was evident for all the successful approaches, and the applications clearly showed how the projects would have a lasting positive benefit for local communities. These ranged from a cycle hub workshop in Inverness to a heritage conservation project in Cullen. In this funding round, awards agreed ranged from £200 up to £20,000 and were spread across Aberdeenshire, Moray and the Highlands.
Applications are now being accepted for the next funding round, with a deadline set for July 26. It is open to registered charities and constituted community groups and you can visit our Applications page to find out if you are eligible and to apply online.
